William Raveis Real Estate and broker/owner Renee Roberts are sponsoring the senior prom at Pappas Rehabilitation Hospital for Children (PRHC) this year. The PRHC prom has been cancelled the last two years due to COVID-19, and according to Roberts this rite of passage is long overdue.
“We are so excited to help bring back this incredible event and we’re planning to make it a night to remember,” she said. The mission of the Canton-based facility is to provide medical, rehabilitative, educational, recreational, habilitative, transitional, and complementary alternative medical services to children and young adults with multiple disabilities, assisting them to achieve their optimal level of independence in all aspects of life.
William Raveis Real Estate established a prom committee to handle the logistics of this year’s event, and thanks to the generosity of many local businesses and residents, more than 80 prom dresses have been donated to PRHC. On May 9, students will have the opportunity to attend the “Prom Boutique” to select their dress. Then, on June 23, William Raveis Real Estate transform the PRHC gym into a red-carpet event. Under a “Starry Sky” themed backdrop, prom attendees will enjoy a catered meal, dancing, karaoke, selfie stations, professional photo options, goodie bags and more!
“A Night Under the Stars” will be in honor of Renee Roberts beloved mother, Karyn Beacham, who spent her 30-plus-year career at PRHC (formerly Mass. Hospital School). Beacham passed away in June of 2021, but her love and dedication to the school will never be forgotten and will live on through her daughter, Renee, and the entire William Raveis Real Estate family.
